What to Expect

We believe church should be a place where anyone who comes in the doors to worship the Lord Jesus should feel welcome. At Grace, we make every effort to make our members and visitors feel as though they belong, just as Jesus would. We realize that even the warmest churches can be intimidating for someone who is visiting. Here are some things to expect at Grace Baptist as you walk in the door:

  • A Warm Welcome: As you enter the front vestibule you will be greeted by two of our members. They will hand you a bulletin and are available to answer any questions that you may have. You can expect a warm welcome from our other members also!

  • Dress Code: We are a ‘come as you are’ church! You may see people wearing dress clothes along side of members in shorts and t-shirts. We believe that your personal conviction should guide you in what you wear, not a rigid dress code. We just want you to be comfortable!

  • Nursery: We have a nursery available for infants and toddlers next door in our education building. Our nursery workers take great pride in the care they provide for our children. If you need assistance, please just ask and we will be happy to point you in the right direction.

  • Worship Style: Our style of worship is ‘Blended’. This means that we make every effort to appeal to all generations and preferences. A typical service will have old hymns as well as the latest contemporary songs. We love the ‘Toe-Tapping’ gospel music as well! We always have special music from our choir and solos or duets from any number of our talented members.

  • Biblical Preaching/Teaching: We are a Bible believing church! That means we make every effort to preach and teach according to the word of God in a way that can be easily understood and applied.

  • Sunday SchooL: We invite you to visit one of our Sunday School classes at 9:30. This is where we begin to feel a part of the family as there is time to discuss the lesson as well as pray and interact in a meaningful way. Sunday school classes are effectively small groups and there is no greater way to grow in our faith than being connected with fellow believers! We have classes available for children of all ages as well.

  • Wednesday Bible Study: Each Wednesday we meet in the fellowship hall at 6:30pm for a time of study and prayer. Refreshments are served and a comfortable environment is created while we listen, study and share in our effort to grow closer to the Lord! Some of our most precious times as the family of God take place on Wednesday nights! Nursery is provided.
